Why is he one of the four great talents in Hong Kong?
Mr. Jin Yong was once scolded for stuttering and did not refute it on the spot. Then, he wrote a letter to the other party and "scolded" the other party.

In fact, it was Ni Kuang, another of the four great talents in Hong Kong, who scolded Jin Yong. Coincidentally, Ni Kuang is not clever either. There is a story about him:

In my past articles, I mentioned the four talents of Hong Kong many times. Now, tell everyone about these four people.

The four great talents in Hong Kong specifically refer to:

Their works are important representatives of popular culture in Hong Kong. These four people are not only acquaintances, but also best friends. It was in response to a sentence in Zhuangzi: Four people smiled at each other and never went against their will, so they became friends.

In fact, Cai Lan himself did not agree with the title of "Four Great Talents". He believes: "Jin Yong is a master, not on the same level as us, and the three of us (Ni Kuang, David Henry Hwang and Cai Lan) are just pranks."

And I agree with Lao Liang's evaluation of these four people:

I'm a little afraid to write about the four great talents. I don't feel qualified to talk about them. I don't read much because of their works. But looking back, it looks like a dish. You don't have to finish eating, just take a bite or two and you'll know how it tastes. Similarly, a writer's works, as long as you look at one or two representative works, you can probably know the level of this person.

In fact, not only their works, but also their behaviors have had a profound impact on me. They are my teachers and like my friends. Most of the time, I read their books and feel that they are right beside me.

You may not be familiar with Ni Kuang. However, you must have heard of Yi Shu. Yes, that's the famous romantic novelist. Yi Shu, full name Ni Yishu, is Ni Kuang's own sister.

If you haven't heard of Yi Shu, you may know of Jenny Tseng. Jenny Tseng is the son of Ni Kuang. If you don't know Jenny Tseng, then you must know Vivian Chow. Vivian Chow is Jenny Tseng's wife and Ni Kuang's daughter-in-law.

Ni Kuang, a native of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, was born in 1935. 1957, smuggled from Chinese mainland to Hongkong. The process went through a lot of hardships, and I walked for months. I ate mice, ants and cotton many times to satisfy my hunger. Later, I carved my own seal to avoid customs officials.

When he first arrived in Hongkong, Ni Kuang worked as a coolie at the dock. One day, he saw a novel in the newspaper and thought it was nothing more than that. He said to his colleagues, "I can write such a novel." Colleagues naturally scoffed at him. After a day's work, Ni Kuang picked up a pen and wrote a novel called Buried alive, which was submitted to the newspaper. Later, the newspaper published a novel, and Ni Kuang embarked on the road of being a writer.

Ni Kuang wrote a couplet for himself: "He wrote plays for Zhang Che many times and novels for Jin Yong". Two things I am most proud of in my life. Zhang Che is the originator of modern martial arts movies. Many of his screenplays were written by Ni Kuang. As for writing novels for Jin Yong, this is the case: at that time, Jin Yong's novel Eight Dragons was serialized in the newspaper. One day, he needs to go to Europe on business. But this novel cannot be serialized. What should I do? He found Ni Kuang, and Ni Kuang did help him write part of it. However, readers did not find that the novel was written by Ni Kuang, which shows Ni Kuang's basic skills.

Ni Kuang wrote nearly 400 plays and 300 novels (mostly science fiction), such as the most famous Wesley series. At that time, this series of novels was as popular in Hong Kong/Guangdong as Jin Yong's novels.

Ni Kuang claimed that his creativity was amazing: he could write a set of plays in three or four days, and at the same time he was writing seven or eight serial novels. At the peak, he can write 8000 words an hour.

One characteristic of his writing plays is that he never revises them. Once, Tsui Hark asked him to write a script and agreed to hand it in within a week. Ni Kuang put it off until the last few days, and it was finished in a short time. Tsui Hark saw the script and thought it could be revised. Ni Kuang disagreed and replied, I can only write the script, but I can't change it.

In addition, Ni Kuang is also the screenwriter of Bruce Lee's film Jingwumen.

I am a little ashamed to say that I have only read Ni Kuang's works: Eyes, Ni Kuang's short stories, love stories, and buried alive. )

Piranha

Ni Kuang loves to raise fish. There are several big fish tanks at home, including piranhas. One day, my son Jenny Tseng fell down and lost a piece of meat. Instead of comforting his son, Ni Kuang picked up his son's meat and threw it into the fish tank. "I want to see if piranhas eat human flesh."

Plant cultivation

Ni Kuang likes flowers and plants. His house is always full of energy.

Yi Shu sighed: If the owner is not in a happy mood, full of energy, and has sufficient leisure and mood, how can he adjust the plants so well?

Later, she asked Ni Kuang, "Your potted plants are so green and lovely. I want to ask the secret."

Ni Kuang replied, "The secret is to throw away the dead and buy a new one."

……

Writers and Johns

Ni Kuang's middle age is romantic and bohemian. Once, the film company invited him to be an actor and let him play a screenwriter. Later, he was asked to play the role of John.

Some viewers think it's okay to play the screenwriter, but it's blasphemous to play the client. This word reached the ears of Ni Kuang's wife Li Guozhen, who responded faintly: "Ni Kuang plays the writer and the client, both of which are real performances."

Love is actually very personal.

Ni Kuang: I have seen some examples of "showing love publicly" recently. I don't know what others think of this kind of thing, but I always feel that I have no other feelings except being funny. Or, to put it mildly, it can be called fun.

Will it help to show your love publicly? If there is no love between a man and a woman, it will certainly have no effect. If you pack all the advertising time of TV stations and shout "I love you" loudly, I'm afraid it won't work.

And if you already have love, why show it publicly? Love is actually very personal. He loves you, and you love him, that's all. It is necessary to let people all over the world know that you are in love, but this is not good, but it interferes with what should be a private love.

Everyone will die, there is no need to be sad.

Jin Yong died two years ago. "Ni Kuang who must be a good friend will be sad." The reporter interviewed him and asked him what he had to say.

Ni Kuang said flatly, "When people get old, they will face death. Don't be too sad. "

Not only that, he is also very open-minded about his own life and death.

Ni Kuang is often asked, "How expensive is this year?"

Ni Kuang smiled and said, "If you leave now, you will be eighty-three."

Pain is self-inflicted.

Ni Kuang emphasized happiness: if you are happy, there will be fewer diseases.

On one occasion, he and Cai Lan talked about the essence of life and so on.

Cai Lan said: "Life is so beautiful, it is better without pain."

Ni Kuang disagreed: "Physical pain is inevitable, and mental pain is just a feeling. Won't have this feeling? " When you came to my mother's funeral, you heard me laughing as soon as you came in. "

In Ni Kuang, you can see a complete understanding of life after death. He is like a living Buddha, laughing and laughing all day. Maybe when facing the unpleasant things in life, we can also learn from his attitude towards life: laugh it off.
