Coach leadership training
Hello, good evening, guys!

Before attending the five-dimensional coaching course, I was always worried that my speech skills were not good enough, and I felt that my typhoon on the stage was not dignified and straight enough, and I even dared not let myself give lectures in enterprises. ?

However, after attending the five-dimensional coaching leadership course, Teacher Chen Xu talked about a truth in the five-dimensional coaching leadership, which inspired me very much:

Nowadays, many managers who study leadership are going in the wrong direction. They mistakenly put learning guidance as the focus, not leadership.

This view appeals to me most. In fact, the purpose of studying in enterprises is to improve their leadership, not to be a professional coach.

But at present, the focus of many coaching leadership courses is to help students become coaches.

This is very enlightening. Today, many people want to be trainers, and then they learn a lot about performance, language, body posture and movements.

This is a mistake. The main purpose of trainers is to help students change, not to show off their performance or speech skills. What trainers should learn most is to design courses and adjust their training status, because this is the art and science to help students change.

Especially in today's era, training is student-centered, not teacher-centered.

When a trainer only knows how to perform and perform blindly, the direction of the trainer is obviously the opposite. Because if you focus on making students change, your means may be more than just training, and you may not just talk about it yourself. Instead, we can help students achieve the effect of change through more activities, various training and teaching methods.

This, let me summon up courage, get out of my fear zone, and then bravely invest in business. It opened the way for me to give lectures in enterprises, including efficiency courses, execution courses and ultra-precision machining courses, and began to slowly enter the training classes of enterprises. ?

The second inspiration about the five-dimensional curriculum is the three-brain theory:

1. How does learning and change happen?

The human brain itself needs to learn. We have been learning since birth, and we are always learning automatically, so that we don't realize it ourselves.

The meaning of the existence of the brain is learning, and the gene determines that its function is learning. Because as Wolf said, "For the brain, there is no such thing as losing attention. The brain is always focused on something. "

The human brain can be divided into three parts: crawling brain, emotional brain and intellectual brain.

Reptile brain mainly regulates and maintains a series of important physiological functions, including heartbeat, breathing, sleep and awakening; The most important function is for safety.

So once you encounter something that threatens security, the crawling brain will be activated, and it will automatically escape, attack, or become rigid. This is an instinctive reaction of any animal.

The function of emotional brain is to mediate instinct and emotional behavior. Its main function is to maintain its own survival and the continuation of species, create emotions and produce memories related to them, and transform short-term memories into long-term memories. The behavioral instinct is 0.4 seconds.

Its basic function is similar to the reptile's brain. It will also respond in an emergency, and its greatest concern is the survival of groups, families and tribes.

The wisdom brain consists of two parts, in which the right brain part determines more people's sense of space, abstract thinking, sense of music and artistry; The left brain is more about controlling people's logic, rational thinking and language ability.

Generally speaking, the wisdom brain is the "commander-in-chief" in our brain. It not only controls our high-level cognitive function, but also inhibits some low-level centers. The startup time is 6 seconds.

The real change comes from the state of energy balance of cognition, emotion and behavior. When we can enter a state, that is, the internal environment, our brain is the easiest to learn. This is also the natural way for children to learn.

But as people grow up, we usually have to consciously create a state of preparation for learning. In this state, we will use the brain network as much as possible to experience our learning process.

We are a collection of all our thoughts, feelings, actions, evidences, creations and opinions. Everything we experience will be merged, integrated and constructed in our brains, and then become what we learn.

This is precisely the reconstruction of three kinds of energy controlled by three brains: cognition, emotion and behavior, thus creating a new state of balance and prompting students to change.

It can be said that the theory of "three brains" has enabled me not only to enter the door of coach training from lecture training, but also to pay more attention to the changes of students. ?

Because only by creating a state of balance among the three brains can students change! ?

The purpose of coaching trainers is to make students change. The best way is to create a good learning state for learners, rather than instilling and transmitting content through teaching.

Why? The history of language development is only 200,000 years, and it is only 50,000 years since complex languages began to form. Compared with other functions of the brain, language is a new development, which means that language can only show a very limited part of our amazing learning ability. ?

In fact, when learners are learning, their brains perceive and know the world through what we see, hear, drink, smell, taste, touch and love. The world is the real world that our senses feel and experience; But this truth depends on each individual's unique mental model and state.

So a good learning state comes from:

1) allows students to make mistakes in a safe and relaxed environment without high pressure;

2) Encourage cooperation rather than competition;

3) Have a positive emotional experience;

4) Have novel contents and methods to attract attention and stimulate interest in learning;

5) There should be a variety of sensory stimuli;

6) and can experience a sense of accomplishment in the learning process, rather than frustration.

The changes and inspirations brought by the third point and five dimensions are not from the standard curriculum, but from the instructor training camp:

It is mainly about the self-awareness and two-state cultivation of coaches and trainers.

The learning and changing state of students' three brains in one mainly comes from the trainer's cognition and transmission of self-state. Therefore, compared with the trainer's means, the trainer's own state can affect the learner's learning state more.

Therefore, coaches and trainers need to cultivate self-awareness first. The five-dimensional coaching leadership course provides two tools that can help trainers gradually improve their sensitivity to self-awareness. One tool is a rich diary, and the other is a conscious diary.

These two tools were learned in a standard class, and they didn't feel particularly deep at that time. On the contrary, after attending the lecturer camp, I picked them up and studied them. It has brought me greater inspiration about trainers. ?

The function of enriching the diary is to help us appreciate the inner and self-enrichment by recording our own existence. After the five-dimensional coaching leadership class, there will be 23 days to punch in to help students develop good habits. Keeping a rich diary is one of the habit of punching in. The format of the rich diary is actually very simple, which can be:

Here are a few of my after-school punch records for reference:

"2065438+May 30, 2008: I have money, I have a cool morning in Beijing and clear blue mountains; I have money, I have free running legs, and I can go wherever I want; I am rich and share books in class. I am reading the book Driving Force by Daniel Pinker, which is a supplement to the five-dimensional curriculum. I am rich. Last night, I finished two classes, five sentences a day, and the fourth lesson of tutoring English!

2065438+June 6, 2008: I am rich. Today, I gave my daughter-in-law a lesson. After listening to her lecture on superfinishing for half a day, the students' feedback was quite good. This course should be very popular in enterprises. I am rich and held the seventh group discussion in the morning. I talked more about my views on learning a paragraph, which was affirmed by Teacher Gu. I am rich, and my son will celebrate his Lunar New Year's birthday in the evening and go to eat and feed.

065438+June 08 18: I face all challenges and persevere until I succeed. I am rich. I have a barbecue with two friends in the suburbs during the day. I am really happy to see the twins in my friends' homes. I have money, and I will complete the accelerated learning online sharing in the evening, which will be full and substantial! "

As can be seen from the above, the format of a rich diary is not important. It is important to be able to record the facts you have observed and your current feelings and gains from that fact. The key is to focus your attention on a beautiful and rich sense of ownership and realize your own consciousness.

When the trainer can keep his attention in a rich state, he can extend this rich state to students and classes.

If there is no record, it will not happen! As keeping a rich diary becomes a habit, discovering beauty and the rich feelings you have will fill the trainer's inner state.

At this point, coaches and trainers also need to cultivate their own two States to help students change:

First, we must feel the same. Empathy refers to the ability to understand other people's emotions and thoughts, understand other people's positions and feelings, and think and deal with problems from the perspective of others in interpersonal communication. Therefore, you will see a coach-style trainer who will not talk endlessly, but will pay attention to what the students want to hear and do, and will encourage the students to share, discuss and collide with various viewpoints.

There are two steps to empathy:

In the first step, you need to change your perspective of seeing things into a student's perspective to recognize and understand; Secondly, you should be able to convey your feelings and gains from changing angles to students.

Many people can do the first step, but the second step is difficult. I once boasted that I was a very empathetic person, but in my past experience and communication, I often knew each other very well, but I couldn't convey them to students through language or other sounds, intonations and gestures, so I often felt anxious.

After attending the lecturer camp, I found that this is especially important for coaches and trainers, because your purpose is to help each other grow and change. If you are satisfied with yourself, you can understand students' feelings and gains, but you can't create communication and energy flow and pass it on to each other, and students won't feel your empathy. Without this feedback, students will not be able to receive your empathy, and the training will naturally fail.

Second, respect. Respect refers to the ability to respect students' viewpoints and worldviews, actively tap individual and group wisdom, take a non-defensive response to courses or trainers, and establish and develop contacts with each student.

I once took part in a course, and the teacher emphasized that we should respect different opinions and allow everyone to put forward different or even opposite opinions. However, when the students talked about speaking on stage, they simply said that they didn't understand the teacher's words, and the lecturer directly interrupted them to explain and explain. This is actually a sign of disrespect for students.

Respect students, not only be polite, but also let students speak. More importantly, it means accepting the gap and inconsistency between students' cognition and their own transmission.

Because each student comes to the course with his own knowledge, and each student's knowledge is different and has his own characteristics, it is inevitable to add his own subjective color in the process of understanding the communication of trainers.

So it doesn't matter what the trainer wants to convey or say! What matters is what students accept and what they do in their own brains.

In this process, the trainer can't encourage the seedlings. Just like many children can't listen to what their parents call the experience of a n experienced person, they have to experience it by themselves. Only those who have fallen and suffered losses can understand and understand it. The same is true for students.

Coach trainers only need to face and accept students' cognitive differences with their own respect.

To sum up, the changes brought about by the five dimensions are to summon up courage, pay more and more attention to student-centered, care about the changes of students and care about the transfer of knowledge. In addition, with the continuous improvement of awareness, I noticed the creation of the field of the course site and the flow and exchange of energy with students, which made me feel more empathetic and pay more attention to the students' state. Let me be a real coach and trainer! ?
