Requirements for students: registered nurses in People's Republic of China (PRC); Bachelor degree or above; Clinical nursing experience of not less than 5 years, engaged in stoma and wound related specialist nursing work for more than 2 years; Good command of English; Physical and mental health, able to undertake heavy learning tasks.

Students will complete all the courses of theory and practice as required, and pass the examination, and obtain the qualification certificate of international ostomy therapist issued by WCET and the certificate of Shaanxi trauma specialist nurse issued by Shaanxi health administrative department.

Training content and teachers

The training content includes two parts: theoretical study and clinical practice, in which theoretical course study 180 hours and clinical practice 2 10 hours. Theoretical courses are mainly undertaken by well-known experts at home and abroad, members of the World Association of Stomatologists, related professional doctors and ostomies.

Clinical practice will be carried out in 10 tertiary hospitals, including the First Affiliated Hospital of xi Jiaotong University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi Jiaotong University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University, Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Shaanxi Provincial Cancer Hospital, Xi Central Hospital, Baoji Central Hospital, Ankang Central Hospital and Ankang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.
