First, junior social workers
Primary social workers refer to those who have certain social work knowledge and skills, and have passed relevant examinations and obtained the certificate of primary social workers. They are mainly engaged in grassroots social work and community service. The main duties of junior social workers include social investigation, social assistance and social work counseling. They are usually employed by community social work websites, social welfare institutions or non-profit organizations.
Second, intermediate social workers.
Intermediate social workers refer to those who have rich social work experience and professional knowledge, and have passed relevant examinations and obtained intermediate social worker certificates. They can engage in more complex and professional social work, such as community development planning, social policy research and social project management.
Intermediate social workers are usually employed by government social work departments, social service agencies, large enterprises and institutions to undertake social work services, social management and social policy consultation.
Third, senior social workers.
A senior social worker refers to a person who has a high level of social work knowledge and skills, passed relevant examinations and obtained a senior social worker certificate. They have in-depth theoretical research and practical experience in the field of social work and can independently carry out professional social work projects and research work.
Senior social workers are usually employed by universities, research institutions, policy consulting institutions and other places to engage in social work education and training, social policy research and formulation, social work practice innovation and other aspects.
Expand knowledge:
1. The qualification of social workers shall be recognized by China Social Work Federation, and shall be examined and evaluated according to the relevant provisions of the state. After passing the examination, social worker certificates of corresponding grades shall be issued.
2. With the development of social work industry and the increase of social demand, the roles and responsibilities of social workers are also expanding. In addition to the above three levels, some areas have also set up higher-level social workers, such as social workers with senior titles.
3. Social workers should have certain sensitivity, sense of responsibility and interpersonal communication skills in practical work, be able to effectively communicate and assist individuals and groups with different backgrounds and need help, and provide corresponding support and services.
