Wuxi Vocational College of Science and Technology is a full-time general higher vocational college, a national defense education characteristic school, a pilot institution of the Ministry of Education 1+X certificate system, a national training base for computer professionals, a demonstration vocational college in Jiangsu Province, an innovative experimental base for training software and service outsourcing talents through school-enterprise cooperation in Jiangsu Province, a demonstration base for innovative education in Jiangsu Province, and a training base for international service outsourcing talents in Jiangsu Province.
At present, the college has seven teaching colleges, including Internet of Things Technology College (Software and Service Outsourcing College), Sino-Singapore Outsourcing Management College, Suntech Photovoltaic College, Sino-German Electromechanical College, Cultural and Creative College, Continuing Education College and Foreign Languages Department.
The construction area is 228,700 square meters, and the total value of fixed assets is 600 million yuan. Through school-enterprise co-construction, the college has built 87 experimental training rooms, and introduced Suntech solar photovoltaic modules, AstraZeneca Automation Pharmaceutical and other three enterprises to build "teaching workshops". The library has a total area of 1 0.2 million square meters, with 630,000 paper books, electronic and digital literature information resources of 1 10,000 kinds and reading seats of110,000. A computer network covering the whole hospital has been established.
