Yuanmozhai is one of the largest calligraphy and painting training institutions in Yiwu approved by Yiwu Education Bureau and Civil Affairs Bureau, and it is also one of the examination rooms of China Academy of Fine Arts. It is also the designated training institution of China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, the only designated cooperative unit of Yiwu, the national primary and secondary school students' calligraphy and painting competition of China Ministry of Education, the member unit of China Young Painters, and the advanced group of calligraphy and painting teaching in the national youth calligraphy and painting art competition.

Founded in 2005, the learning environment is beautiful, the classroom is equipped with air conditioning and multimedia teaching, and all the teachers graduated from China Academy of Fine Arts and higher painting and calligraphy colleges with rich teaching experience. By 20 16, more than 500 students have won prizes in national, provincial and municipal painting and calligraphy competitions.
