National Judges College is a directly affiliated institution of the Supreme People's Court, which was established in 1997. Its predecessor was 1985, the National Amateur Law University for Court Cadres, and 1988, the China Senior Judge Training Center. Its main tasks and responsibilities are to train presidents and vice presidents of China Higher People's Court and Intermediate People's Court, senior judges of courts at all levels and their reserve talents for appointment, renewal and promotion, special training for trial business and pre-job training for reserve judges.
