Jilin Teachers College of Engineering and Technology is located in Changchun City, Jilin Province. It is a full-time undergraduate vocational normal college approved by the State Council. It was identified as the national key vocational education teacher training base by the Ministry of Education. It is a governing unit of China Entrepreneurship Education Alliance of UNESCO, and a model university of undergraduate talent training reform in Jilin Province (Class A).

The leading unit in the construction of vocational education teachers' guarantee system in Jilin Province, the key construction of vocational education teachers' base determined in the Outline of Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan of Jilin Province, was selected into the construction project of high-level universities with characteristics in Jilin Province (Class B).

The school, formerly known as Jilin Provincial Labor Department Technical School, was established in 1959. 1979 Jilin Technician College was established with the approval of the State Council, which was under the former State Administration of Labor; 1983, which was placed under the management of Jilin Province and renamed as Jilin Vocational Teachers College; In August 2000, Jilin Economic and Trade School was merged into the school.

In February, 2002, it was renamed Jilin Teachers College of Engineering and Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education. 2065438+August 2005, Jilin International Business School was merged into the school.
