SAIC Datong RV Factory is located in liyang city, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. It was built by SAIC Datong Automobile Co., Ltd. with an investment of 654.38+07 billion yuan, covering an area of 420 mu. It is the first production base in China to build a customized RV for the public. The base was officially completed and put into operation from June 2065438 to June 2008, and the project plans to produce 25,000 vehicles annually.
The factory is mainly divided into three parts: exhibition center, joint factory building and RV camp. Inside the exhibition center, the design and display of RV are in the same building, but the first floor is used to display various models of RV sold by Same Chase, and the second floor is the design and development center.
In the joint factory building, the first thing that catches your eye is the chassis of SAIC Chase V80/V90, which are neatly placed in the inventory area and ready for production according to the production plan.
There are also plates used to produce furniture and cabinets in the RV. A B-type RV probably needs more than 300 boards, and a C-type RV needs more than 500 boards. The last step, which is also the most critical step, is to drive the finished RV into the rain room for 720 seconds of field test, with the purpose of testing the waterproof and sealing performance of the whole vehicle. After passing the test, the staff will move the vehicle to the parking lot and deliver it to the customer.
