The Music Performance Department of the South Campus of Shenyang Conservatory of Music was established in September 2000, which is the first art college in Northeast China to set up this major. Since its establishment, experts and professors from Central Academy of Drama, Beijing Dance Academy and other related majors have been invited to give lectures and lectures on musicals. The curriculum of music performance major is arranged according to the training mode of Broadway in the United States and Four Seasons Troupe in Japan and the demand of music creation in China. There are: drama performance, line skills, musical repertoire singing, dance (jazz dance, tap dance), rehearsal and practice of musical repertoire fragments, etc.
The department has a strong faculty, not only has a group of outstanding young and middle-aged backbone teachers who graduated from or studied in the director department and performance department of the Central Academy of Drama and have taught in various art colleges in the province for many years, but also specially hired some well-known and experienced experts and professors in the field of drama to teach together. Music teachers also went to Beijing, Shanghai and other art colleges for further study and study. In the aspect of singing and dancing teaching, you can also enjoy the excellent teacher resources of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. In addition, we have long hired outstanding music teachers who have won many awards in national drama, vocal music and dance competitions and have gone abroad for further study to teach music courses.
The department of film and television performance has complete teaching facilities for music majors, including independent professional teaching buildings, rehearsal classrooms, professional studios and audio-visual classrooms, as well as various teaching materials and teaching AIDS. Teaching hardware is second to none in the same kind of art colleges in China. In addition, the college has specially built a music theater that can accommodate 1200 people for music rehearsal and performance, which can be called the landmark building of Shenyang Hunnan University Town.
At present, music performance major is divided into three levels: art college undergraduate, higher vocational college undergraduate and adult undergraduate. There have been two graduates, most of whom have been admitted to TV stations, radio stations and performance groups in Liaoning Province and municipalities directly under the Central Government. In 2004, the famous musical "Cat" came to Beijing to perform, and the role was selected. When the China musical "Snow Wolf Lake" and other plays were rehearsed, our professional students were also designated as candidate actors to participate in regular rehearsals; The musical "Song of the Movie" was staged in poly theatre from June 5th to February, 2005, in which the students of music department of our college played an important role.
For many years, teachers majoring in music performance in China have been exploring and discussing the teaching methods of music performance, and organized students to rehearse music sketches, short plays and music fragments many times. Among them, the musical short plays "Zi Xue" and "Fate is You" created by musical teachers and students in our college won unanimous praise from professionals in the fifth anniversary celebration. Exploring and following the unique laws of music art education, so that students can "learn successfully" and "apply what they have learned" and adapt their professional skills to the needs of future artistic creation, work and employment as soon as possible, has always been our professional purpose and goal.
