Nanjing University \ Zhongshan University
The history base class of Wuhan University also has archaeology classes.
It is very difficult to carry out archaeological work in China.
It is more difficult to engage in this profession.
Have determination and strength.
Personally, I feel that the cultivation of archaeological successors is not valued.
As far as I know, archaeologists today belong to the older generation.
There are few rookies, so to speak, almost none.
Basically, education in China begins at university.
In this way, our ways of learning are greatly reduced.
There are few kinds of books about archaeology on the market now.
It is nothing more than the introduction of some sites and the resume of archaeological process.
But archaeology needs a lot of knowledge.
For example, laws related to archaeology, national and local archaeological yearbooks, chemistry, biology, physics, geography, politics and so on all need us to master.
Of course not all, but we don't know what we need.
This has become an obstacle.
I suggest that if you are a beginner or mainly at home, a little knowledge of foreign countries is enough.
First of all, we should understand the development trend and age of major events in different periods and dynasties in China. Secondly, we should master the characteristics of each dynasty, such as the development history of porcelain, what kind of porcelain will appear in which dynasty, because the firing process or cultural customs of each dynasty are different. Archaeology relies on these characteristics to identify the dynasty of the site. Then, understand all aspects of history. Some programs launched by CCTV will be helpful: "Lecture Room", "Jianbao Column" and other historical topics.
Of course, I think this should be done step by step, and don't try to do it in one step.
China has many restrictions on archaeology. To enter this circle, we must adapt to the rules of the game in China.
