When applying for Class III certificates of competency, the students who have received maritime education have completed the on-board training items and contents stipulated in the Record Book of on-board training issued by the maritime administrative agency for not less than 12 months, and the time from the examination and issuance of certificates is fourteen working days.
When the assessor passes the three promotion examinations and applies for the certificate, he must have performed the corresponding duties of driving or marine engineering for at least 6 months under the supervision of the captain or senior crew, and completed the on-board training items and contents stipulated in the on-board training record book issued by the maritime administrative agency.
