Introduction to CWI examination for welding inspectors? What textbook?
CWI is a registered welding inspector (welding inspection engineer) and AWS welding inspector of American Welding Association. Senior welding inspector (SCWI) should have at least 15 years experience and 6 years working experience as a registered welding inspector (CWI). The Senior Welding Inspector (SCWI) must pass another exam different from the following CWI qualification exam. Please refer to other training assessment procedures for the assessment procedures and examination requirements of SCWI: Welding Quality Assurance and Inspection Manual-Work Guide for Senior Welding Inspectors. The next level is registered welding inspector (CWI), and the third level is registered assistant welding inspector (CAWI). This course includes the qualification procedures of the last two levels. The exam must pass three exams: the first part-the basic knowledge exam; The second part-practical operation assessment; The third part-standardizing the open-book examination; Open-book examination can pass AWS D1.1API1104 and other specifications; At present, there are two training and examination units, Shanghai Mody China and Shanghai Welding Society. I think I should be very familiar with the norms of open-book exams before I can pass them. After I know a question, I should immediately know which chapter, and I should be familiar with the conversion between metric system and imperial system in actual operation. Basic usage specifications of measuring instruments, etc.
