The Red Education Base in Yuejin District is located in Gu Jing Hydropower Station in Yuejin District, Li Du Town, Yindu District, Anyang City (Gujing Village, the hometown of longevity in China). It is an open red education and training base sponsored by Yuejinqu Irrigation District Administration.

Yuejin Canal is a water conservancy project built on Taihang Mountain in 1960s and 1970s by the people of Anyang County after 10 years' efforts. The Yuejin Canal started construction on 1958, and experienced a difficult course of "three ups and two downs". The last work started in 1968. Water is the source of life. In order to change the living conditions of "ten years and nine droughts, water is as expensive as oil" in the western mountainous areas, the people of Anyang County are self-reliant. 65,438+10,000 migrant workers have worked hard for ten years under extremely harsh material conditions, relying on simple tools, digging through 320 peaks, crossing more than 600 mountain streams, opening 149 tunnels and building bridges. More than 500 migrant workers were disabled at work, and 108 heroic sons and daughters gave their precious lives. Finally, a leap-forward canal with a main canal length of 147km, a total length of nearly 1000km and an irrigation area of 300,000 mu was built, which composed a magnificent heroic epic and solidified the spirit of "self-reliance, hard struggle, scientific truth-seeking, unity and cooperation and selfless dedication" for Anyang economy. Known as "Artificial Tianhe" and "World Miracle" by the world, it complements the Red Flag Canal, and is also called Sister Canal, which is a national large-scale irrigation area, a key cultural relics protection unit in Henan Province, an anti-corruption education base in Anyang City and a patriotic education base.
