Full-time firefighters are employees formally employed by the fire department. They have received systematic fire-fighting training and have high fire-fighting skills and knowledge. Their main duties are to prevent fires, control and put out fires in time, and protect people's lives and property. Compared with amateur firefighters, full-time firefighters take fire fighting as their daily duty and focus on fire fighting tasks. The work of firefighters is not a fixed and long-term waiting job, but a rapid dispatch of rescue and disposal when a fire breaks out. Amateur firefighters can provide support in case of fire to meet the demand of rapid response, but they do not need to occupy the establishment in peacetime. There are other jobs of the fire brigade that need full-time personnel to maintain, including field work and domestic work. For example, a small number of people need to be on standby at any time, full-time fire trainers are responsible for training, fire truck drivers are responsible for driving fire trucks, and office fire call waiting personnel are responsible for answering fire calls. These people all belong to the category of full-time firefighters.
