Overview of certification and examination
Overview of certification
NI LabVIEW certification project includes the following three certification levels:
LabVIEW Assistant Developer Certification (CLAD)
LabVIEW developer certification (CLD)
LabVIEW architect certification (CLA)
Each level is a prerequisite for the next level of certification.
CLAD has a broad and comprehensive understanding of the core features and functions available in the complete development system of LabVIEW, and can apply this knowledge to develop, debug and maintain small LabVIEW modules. CLAD is generally equivalent to 6 to 9 months of experience in developing a complete system using LabVIEW.
CLD has experience in developing, debugging, deploying and debugging large and medium-sized LabVIEW applications. CLD has professional experience in developing medium and large-sized applications from 12 to 18 months by using LabVIEW continuously.
CLA can use LabVIEW to develop applications in multi-developer environment. CLA not only has the technical knowledge and software development experience of decomposing project specifications into manageable LabVIEW components, but also can manage the progress of the project by effectively using project and configuration management tools. CLA is an expert in developing large and medium-sized applications using LabVIEW for 24 months.
Note: CLAD certification is a prerequisite for taking the CLD exam. CLD certification is a prerequisite for taking the CLA exam. There are no exceptions to the requirements of these exams.
