Guangxi International Studies University is one of the two universities in China.

The school is located in the permanent site of China-ASEAN Expo, the central city of Beibu Gulf Economic Zone and Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its predecessor was Guangxi Oriental Foreign Language Vocational College, which was established in June 2004. On April 20 1 1, it was upgraded to a full-time undergraduate college, which is the first private undergraduate college in Guangxi.

Since its promotion, the school has successively won the honorary titles of "National Advanced Collective of Private Education", "National Excellent Private Colleges and Universities", "Advanced Unit of Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities in the Region", "Safe and Civilized Campus of Colleges and Universities in Guangxi" and "Guangxi May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee".

In recent three years, the average initial employment rate of fresh graduates is 9 1.99%, and it has won the honorary title of "Excellent Unit for Employment and Entrepreneurship of College Graduates in Guangxi".
