Beijing Foreign Studies University is located in North West Third Ring Road, Haidian District, Beijing. There are two houses on both sides of the Third Ring Road, with a total area of 492,000 square meters. It is one of the national key universities directly under the Ministry of Education and the first batch of "2 1 1 project" in China. It is a foreign language university with a long history, the largest number of professors and complete school-running level. Beijing Foreign Studies University was formerly known as 194 1 the Russian Brigade of the Third Branch of China Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, which was established in Yan 'an, and later developed into Yan 'an Foreign Languages School, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee. After the founding of New China, the school was led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 1954 was renamed Beijing foreign studies institute, 1959 merged with Beijing Russian institute to form a new Beijing foreign studies institute. 1980 was directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Education, and 1994 was officially renamed Beijing Foreign Studies University.
