Hebei Technician College, founded in July, 1949, is a national key secondary vocational school. Following the Staff School of the Ministry of Railways, Shijiazhuang Intermediate Technical School of the Ministry of Railways, Shijiazhuang Railway Institute and Shijiazhuang Railway Transportation School of Beijing Railway Bureau, Shijiazhuang Railway Transportation School has been inherited and developed. In July 2005, the school was handed over to the Department of Labor and Social Security of Hebei Province by railway. There are 606 faculty members in the three campuses, including 469 full-time teachers (senior lecturer 1 19, 328 lecturers). Full-time students 1 1 10,000, 9,800 registered students in higher education self-examination, higher education distance education and correspondence education in colleges and universities, with an average of 5,000 short-term training for cadres and workers every year and 4,800 skills appraisal for employees of various enterprises and institutions in society.
