Established in 1996, the Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, which undertakes the technical support of publicity and education of ecological environmental protection and the daily management training of the Party School of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. The mission center is a second-class public welfare organization, with five institutions, including office, social propaganda room, education room, training room and new media room.

In 20 16, the mission base was jointly awarded the national environmental protection science popularization base by the former Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Science and Technology, and was named the national primary and secondary school research practice education base by the Ministry of Education in 20 18. It has gradually developed into a learning center, an information center, an activity center and a training center for the public, especially teenagers in China.
