Guizhou Institute of Engineering and Applied Technology was founded in 1938, and has gone through Bijie Normal University, Bijie Normal University and Bijie Normal University. 1993, Bijie Teachers College was named by the Ministry of Education. In March 2005, Bijie Normal College and Bijie Education College merged to form Bijie College, which became a full-time undergraduate college. In May of 20 14, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Bijie College was renamed Guizhou Institute of Engineering Application Technology.
