Therefore, I doubt whether the service provider, as the owner of the service, decides the life cycle of the service and even the definition of the service is reasonable. First of all, I think the consumers of services really determine the connotation of services, that is, demand determines services. In this sense, the service is defined by the consumer, and the provider only realizes the service through technical means according to the consumer's definition of the service, but only an extension of the service. From this point of view, consumers are the theoretical definers of services, while providers are the factual definers of services, and they are in conflict with each other in the definition right.
In my opinion, the most effective way to solve conflicts in commercial society is to conclude contracts. If the virtual service provider abstracts a * * * identical behavior pattern from the needs of a large number of consumers, this behavior pattern can implicitly sign a contract with consumers to provide services, because it can cover some consumer needs. Implication means that although no formal contract has been signed with consumers, the contractual connotation of the service has met or even exceeded the demand of any consumer for such services. The role of this unilaterally defined contract can be called service product manager. The role of service product manager in an enterprise is more like a real product manager. They are responsible for their products (services) They define and describe the attributes of services in various dimensions, and constantly look for suitable service providers to provide better service levels.
We have reason to believe that in the post-SOA era, with the further refinement of social division of labor, IT systems within enterprises will gradually decrease and be replaced by more specialized external professional systems. There will be full-time service product managers in the enterprise to define the services needed by the enterprise, and these services will be connected with external professional systems through flexible interfaces to provide high-quality IT services for the enterprise in a low-cost, flexible and efficient way.
