Good morning, class! On the occasion of our hospital's 50th birthday, our school's youth league training officially started today. Carrying out the training of League cadres is an important measure to implement the Training Plan for College Student Cadres (2006-20 10) jointly issued by the Central Committee of the League and the National Federation of Students on August 30th this year. It is an effective way to strengthen the construction of student cadres in our college, and it is of great significance to promote the systematic study of theory, innovate working ideas, improve the quality of league affairs, practice the requirements of advanced nature, better unite and lead the youth league members in our college and serve the students. Here, on behalf of the College Party Committee, I would like to express my warm congratulations on the opening of the training course! I would like to extend my cordial greetings to all the students who participated in the training! At the same time, I would like to take this opportunity to raise some hopes and demands for my classmates.

First, clearly understand the situation and earnestly enhance the sense of responsibility and mission. Students, at present and in the future, it is a crucial period for our college to declare the renaming of colleges and universities and the right to confer doctoral degrees. The Party Committee of the College clearly pointed out that under the guidance of the spirit of the Ninth Party Congress of the Autonomous Region, we should seize opportunities, meet challenges, overcome difficulties, create conditions, and strive to realize the grand goal of "two applications" as soon as possible. This is an arduous historical task, which needs the joint efforts of teachers, students and staff of the whole hospital to complete. Communist Youth League cadres have a great responsibility in uniting and leading the youth members. They must be clear about their responsibilities, earnestly enhance their sense of urgency and crisis in accelerating development, and make a difference. Analyzing the current student work situation in our college, we are facing severe practical challenges. First, the learning atmosphere is not strong enough; Second, campus disharmony still exists, and uncivilized phenomena often occur; Third, the employment pressure is increasing day by day, and the employment situation is not optimistic; Fourth, new situations and new problems are constantly emerging. Our ultimate goal is to unite and mobilize young students to make contributions in various construction undertakings. While the iron is hot, we must work hard. Whether we can unite, mobilize and guide young students depends on the quality of Communist Youth League cadres. Therefore, the cadres must do the following:

First, do a good job in studying political theory and constantly improve ideological and political quality. Theoretical maturity is the basis of political maturity. To improve the quality of league cadres, we must first strengthen theoretical study. We should seriously study Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and especially Theory of Three Represents, and arm our minds with scientific theories. Through study, we should strengthen the political direction and stand of Marxism and socialism, firmly establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, master the scientific method of observing things, enhance political discrimination and acumen, and improve the ability to solve practical problems by using the Party's revolutionary theory and basic line.

The second is to do a good job in learning the knowledge of group affairs and effectively enhance the practical work ability. As a league cadre, you must be proficient in the league's business, which is everyone's responsibility. Only relying on enthusiasm and good wishes without understanding the basic knowledge and unique laws of one's job will only get twice the result with half the effort and backfire. We must closely focus on the central task and key work of the Communist Youth League in colleges and universities, learn all kinds of work items of the Communist Youth League, make clear the work requirements, grasp the key points and improve the practical operation ability. We must learn from books, from practice, from advanced models, sum up and refine our work experience in time, sublimate our theory in practice, and make ourselves an expert in the work of the Communist Youth League in our school.

Third, we should constantly enrich new knowledge and skills and improve our overall quality. The work of the college league involves all aspects, and the cadres of the league must have extensive knowledge. Only in this way can they blend in with the young students more easily and become comfortable with them when they carry out the work of the league.
