1958, the school was upgraded to a university and renamed Jiangxi Coal Mine College. But middle schools continued to recruit students until 196 1. After adjustment, Jiangxi Institute of Coal Mining 1964 was merged into Shandong Institute of Coal Mining, and in September, it continued its secondary school, belonging to East China Coal Industry Company, and its name was changed to Pingxiang Coal Mine School of East China Coal Industry Company. 1965 adds a special economic category.

Started to use the current school name, originally belonging to Jiangxi Coal Industry Management Office, and 20 14 was placed under the management of Jiangxi Education Department. 1994 and 1999 were recognized as national key middle schools twice, and were rated as excellent in the evaluation of talent training in higher vocational colleges in 2004.
