Since 1999, Majiang County has actively explored and introduced small berries in our province, which has overcome many technical problems such as blueberry breeding, cultivation and pest control. After 10 years of technical research, 1 science and technology demonstration bases, 3 blueberry seedling breeding bases and 9 enterprises engaged in the construction of production bases have been built. The county planted blueberry 1.5 million mu, put into production 5,000 mu, and the output value reached more than 60,000 yuan. Blueberries in Majiang County have been exported to Japan, and blueberry planting has been listed in the seventh batch of national agricultural standardization demonstration projects, as a national blueberry planting standardization demonstration zone, as a "southern blueberry breeding and cultivation demonstration base", and won the special reputation of "Top 10 counties with scientific and technological innovation in blueberry industry in China".
