As a popular major now, landscape design is also one of the dominant majors in France, which is favored by many international students majoring in landscape design. However, how to choose French landscape design professional institutions? Let's take a look at three kinds of universities and three landscape colleges specializing in landscape design in France.

Three types of French landscape design institutions;

1. School of Architecture

Some of the courses of architecture and landscape design in architecture schools are landscape design courses. There are more than 20 architectural schools like this in France, and the requirements for applying for architectural schools are also very high, and the language should reach a certain level. Schools need students' works. Students should not only understand the characteristics of China architecture, but also integrate into the essence of western architecture. It can be said that most international students studying landscape design in China choose to pursue further studies in the School of Architecture.

2. Public comprehensive universities

Only a few courses in comprehensive universities are landscape design, and most of them are design planning and architecture. The famous one is Lance University. The related majors in comprehensive universities pay more attention to theoretical aspects, which are slightly inferior to those in architectural schools.

3. French Institute of Landscape Architecture

Landscape College, as its name implies, is a college specialized in training landscape designers. The college has a four-year academic system, and the entrance requirements are quite high, which is higher than that of the School of Architecture. Of course, his diploma has a higher gold content than the School of Architecture. There are only a few landscape schools in France. The most famous ones are Bordeaux National Institute of Architecture and Landscape, Lille National Institute of Architecture and Landscape, and Versailles National Institute of Landscape. All three colleges and universities adopt the national unified examination, and the admission conditions are extremely harsh.

Three French landscape colleges:

1. Bordeaux National Institute of Architecture and Landscape

Bordeaux National Institute of Architectural Landscape Design was founded in 1968 and moved from 1972 to the current campus. This school is a public higher education institution in France, which belongs to the French Ministry of Culture and Propaganda.

The landscape design major of Bordeaux National Institute of Architecture and Landscape Design, after passing the examination, enrolled students in the second year of university, continued to study for four years, and finally obtained the national landscape architect diploma.

2. Lille National Institute of Architecture and Landscape

Lille National Architecture and Landscape Architecture is a public institution of higher learning under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Exchange of the French government, and it is one of the 20 national architectural design colleges offering landscape architecture in France.

3. Versailles National Landscape Institute

The National Landscape Institute of Versailles, France has a history of more than 200 years. Its predecessor was the French National Horticultural Research Institute established in 1873. Versailles Landscape College is the first school of landscape architecture and urban planning in France, and it is one of the best landscape colleges in Europe and even in the world.

The entrance requirements of Versailles Landscape College are extremely demanding. Every March, the college will organize the annual national unified examination, and generally 400 to 500 candidates will sign up. Finally, the Landscape Institute of Versailles will admit the top 35 students.

Landscape architect is an attractive diploma. Of course, art students majoring in landscape design should also make great efforts.
