China Federation of Social Work (formerly China Association of Social Workers) is a national professional social organization registered by the registration authority of chinese social organizations and directly under the charge of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It is the only authoritative organization in China that represents social work units and social work professionals.
On the basis of a lot of work in the whole country 18 provinces and cities (based on the one-stop social psychological service platform in the community), the Community Work Committee of China Social Work Federation has launched the "Community Psychological Service Instructor" training program, aiming at the actual needs of social psychological services at the grassroots level and integrating domestic multi-party psychological services and other expert resources.
In Britain, the name of the largest psychological counseling institution is not "XX Psychological Clinic", but "National Marriage Guidance Committee". It was established in the 1940s by some people who were worried about the marital problems brought about by the war. This institution represents the social work mode, the third mode of psychological consultation, which is independent of the medical mode and the educational mode.
Social work psychological counseling should have a completely different theoretical basis from medical psychological counseling and education counseling. This kind of psychological consultation does not rely on "psychology", but "psychology", which is a theory about the law of human behavior. Because it pays more attention to the explicit behavior of the client, how he handles his own life and what problems exist in his solution.
The knowledge structure of "psychology+medicine" is needed for medical psychological consultation, "psychology+pedagogy" for education counseling, and "psychology+sociology" for social work psychological consultation. He should be familiar with sociological theories such as "social role", "intergenerational gap", "informal organization", "urban problems", "community structure" and "family function" and give more guidance to the parties from the practical level.
In China, the development of psychological counseling for social workers is later than that of medicine and education, and it has not yet formed. However, because most of the practical problems involved are rigid, the society has a strong demand for this kind of psychological counseling, and I believe that social work psychological counseling will have great development potential.
