Huawei has repeatedly stressed in public that Huawei will not build cars, but be a friend of car companies, and its identity is Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier. To be honest, Huawei is fully qualified to build a car. Up to now, Huawei's auto-related products cover 1 the new digital architecture of smart cars and five intelligent systems, including intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, intelligent electric, intelligent network connection and smart car cloud service, and more than 30 intelligent components.
At the April 18 conference, Huawei HI brand released a series of new products in one breath, including a new generation of intelligent components and solutions including 4D imaging radar, AR-HUD and MDC8 10 chips.
Hardware and software, intelligent cockpit and autonomous driving, Huawei covers a wide range of fields. At this year's auto show, Huawei's booth covers integrated sensing solutions, intelligent driving computing platforms, smart car cloud services, smart cockpits and smart electric vehicles. Basically, apart from vehicle manufacturing and power batteries, Huawei has all the conditions for building a car.
And most importantly, every section of Huawei has reached the top level, and the cooperative version of Huawei and Extremely Fox Alpha S is the most concrete example.
Extremely Fox Alpha S is equipped with three 96-line vehicle-mounted radars, and the computing power of the autopilot chip can reach 800TOPS. It is equipped with the vehicle-mounted operating system of Huawei HarmonyOS System and supports overcharge technology, which can realize L2.5 autopilot assistance and RPA remote sensing parking.
The measurement before the auto show is more convincing. During the 30-minute test ride with a total mileage of 12km, except for the manual operation when entering and leaving the station, the polar fox Alpha S realized zero manual takeover during the whole test ride. Huawei's autopilot function has been able to reach the same level as Tesla in a short time, and its technical strength can be seen.
Moreover, Huawei has mass-produced three-in-one electric drive system, battery management system and future seven-in-one electric drive system, all of which are the most advanced technologies. There are car cloud services, including intelligent driving, intelligent networking, intelligent cockpit and intelligent electric. Huawei's layout in the field of smart cars has been completely completed.
It is worth noting that Huawei also invited three major automobile brands, including Changan and Guangzhou Automobile, to build sub-brands in the automotive field. In addition, Huawei has cooperated with more than 20 OEMs, and its strong performance in the field of intelligence has enabled Huawei to go from behind the scenes to the stage.
Baidu: Focus on driverless and software services.
Compared with Huawei, Baidu is not a pure supplier in the strict sense, because Baidu has already announced that it will cooperate with Geely to build cars. But this does not affect Baidu's supplier status, because Baidu's Apollo smart cabin has cooperated with more than 70 car companies and 600 models, and more than 1 10,000 small car OS has been mass-produced before installation.
Apollo intelligent driver can start mass production. Weimar W6, which has just been listed, is equipped with Baidu's "AVP driverless parking technology", which can complete the functions of automatic driving, obstacle avoidance, intelligent parking space search, autonomous parking, parking, etc. with one key of the mobile phone, and realize the driverless function in the parking scene. Apollo intelligent driving also includes ANP, which is what we often call a driver-assisted driving solution. This is a vision-based closed-loop solution for urban roads, which can realize intelligent assisted driving of expressways and urban roads.
Of course, what impressed the public most about Baidu's driverless driving is the "driverless taxi" business. Baidu has been tried in many places. The author once had an experience in Yizhuang, Beijing. On the normal road of about five kilometers, the driver only needs to take over at the special stage of getting on and off, and the performance of unmanned driving at other times is very stable.
At this year's auto show, Baidu also systematically showed its Apollo smart cabin to the public. Different from Huawei's integration of software and hardware, Baidu is well aware of its own disadvantages in hardware, and strives to build its own advantages in software services, using small assistants and Baidu maps to realize intelligent and visual upgrades connecting people, cars and roads.
In addition, Baidu Apollo light cockpit technology provides lightweight intelligent networking technology for non-networked vehicles. With the help of the computing power and network of the mobile phone, this technology runs a small OS system on the mobile phone, and displays it on the car machine through Baidu CarLife+ mobile phone car machine interconnection channel. You can understand it as Apple's CarPlay. There is a great demand at this stage.
Generally speaking, Baidu is not as strong as Huawei and can be found in all aspects, but its advantages in autonomous driving, voice control and car maps can make the cooperative car companies more extensive.
DJI: Longboard of Visual Recognition
In our impression, the first time DJI extended its tentacles to the automobile field was the Tucki P5 released not long ago, which became the first production car equipped with lidar, and the supplier of lidar was "Livox Browse Wo" hatched by DJI.
Recently, DJI left the stage in person. At this year's auto show, DJI Auto unveiled its brand-new products and cooperated with OEMs such as Volkswagen and Wuling Tier 1.
In the field of smart cars, DJI is a novice, but DJI from drones has strong technical strength. At this auto show, DJI brought intelligent solutions for four scenarios: intelligent driving D80/D80+, intelligent driving D 130/D 130+ and intelligent parking P 100/P 1000, and all of them have corresponding SOPs.
The D80, D 130 for urban roads, urban expressways and expressways will be delivered this year, the memory parking P 100 will be delivered in 2022, and the long-distance autonomous parking and long-distance autonomous calling functions of D80+, D 130+ and P 1000 will be delivered in 2022.
Compared with the current popular "stacking" scheme, DJI's long board in the field of intelligent driving is the direction of visual recognition, such as two-handed gestures to control the plane forward and backward, gesture control functions and so on. With the help of lidar and visual recognition, DJI has a certain foundation in the development of intelligent driving.
In addition, DJI vehicles are different from the popular high-precision maps and V2X technical routes. The former can accurately detect any obstacles through DJI binocular stereo vision technology without training and learning in advance, and can accurately integrate the dynamic and static information of the environment to achieve stable driving even under road conditions such as coexistence of old and new lane lines and no lane lines.
In other words, DJI vehicles will achieve the purpose of intelligent driving by virtue of excellent visual recognition technology and strong coupling of software and hardware. The effect of this move is also very obvious. Relatively speaking, the R&D cost of in-vehicle solutions in DJI will be relatively low. In addition, using relatively simple sensors, DJI vehicles with "technical flow" will have a cost-effective advantage.
Written at the end: In the field of traditional fuel vehicles, the key technologies and parts of intelligent driving are mostly in the hands of international Tier 1 giants, whose responsibility is to provide parts or technologies for the main engine factory and live behind the scenes. However, with the advent of the intelligent era, the entry of Internet companies with advantages in communication, intelligence and algorithms has greatly changed this ecology. "Software-defined car", a concept put forward by Tesla, is being carried forward by technology giants such as Huawei.
In the past, at the press conference of car companies, the supplier was the green leaves supporting the red flowers. But now, suppliers are more important, and OEMs will endorse suppliers, even surpassing the limelight of the car itself. Internet providers will be more closely linked with OEMs, which is also an opportunity to surpass international Tier 1 providers.
