How to organize and design college students' second classroom activities
The "second classroom" has become an important carrier of school education because of its autonomy, universality of content, diversity of forms and practicality of participation. It is an educational practice activity outside the "first classroom" to comprehensively improve students' comprehensive quality. In order to be refined, strong and distinctive, Management Technology College needs to cultivate students by using distinctive second-class activity education, create excellent campus culture, supplement and extend the first-class teaching, and take cultivating students' generous professional foundation and strong professional skills as the goal of the second-class activity.

The content and organization of the second classroom activities should be based on the characteristics of students in management technology college, reflecting "teaching as the center and educating people as the foundation"

First, to carry out the second classroom activities, we should start with shaping typical examples and creating excellent student culture.

Students are most concerned about their own development. At the beginning of enrollment, it is necessary to draw a blueprint for college students in the future, so that students can know which successful paths they can choose in the future. Each path should find typical graduates and students to publicize, and give successful examples in employment, college entrance examination, postgraduate entrance examination, going abroad and starting a business.

Setting up typical figures in combination with the school-running characteristics of the college can provide students with growth motivation. We know that some pressure is necessary, but the most important thing is to tell students what to do and set some examples among them, that is, to let them know that the success that can be imitated is like that.

In the second class, we should organize a return visit for outstanding graduates every year, establish study files, sum up their successful experiences, and vigorously publicize the life or career trajectory and development path of outstanding graduates to every freshman. It is also necessary to publicize outstanding students in the school all year round and by theme, and publicize student cadres in terms of student pacesetters, professional skills pacesetters, self-improvement stars, social practice, literature and sports. Create a student cultural atmosphere of "being with excellent people", establish the self-confidence of the majority of students in growth, success and employment, and enhance their sense of identity and belonging to the Institute of Management Technology.

The basic purpose of shaping role models and role models is to let students know where their pressure is converted into motivation, to let students see their hope of hard work, and to internalize the school-running characteristics of hospitals into their employment competitiveness.

Second, the second classroom activities should focus on the comprehensive cultivation of vocational skills.

Vocational skills are the synthesis of people's abilities to engage in a certain occupation and the core competitiveness of higher vocational students' employment. In the second classroom activities, the author thinks that vocational skills training should be divided into three aspects, each of which focuses on cultivating different vocational skills. Lay a good foundation for students' lifelong development.

1, professional knowledge and skills

Professional knowledge and skills are special knowledge or abilities that need to be acquired through education or training. The first classroom learning is mainly to cultivate students' professional knowledge and skills. The second classroom activities should also closely focus on this theme, cooperate with the first classroom to strengthen practical links, carry out professional knowledge lectures, professional knowledge competitions and various professional skills competitions, write professional practice reports and market research reports, carry out case analysis, carry out on-campus training activities, and invite front-line staff of enterprises and institutions to explain and impart professional skills.

In 2007 and 2008, the School of Management Technology held the "Who is the King of Skills" Skills Competition for two consecutive years, which quantitatively evaluated the skills involved in our college's major, such as counting money, abacus calculation, summons calculation, e-commerce, marketing, English, five-stroke typing, computer software, hardware, cooking and graphic design, and awarded each individual skill champion the title of "King of Skills".

Set up professional skills training camps in colleges and departments, and regularly carry out professional skills lectures, training, practical training, competitions and experience exchanges.

2. Self-management skills

Self-management skills, also known as adaptive skills, are usually regarded as personality qualities rather than skills, because they are used to describe or explain certain characteristics of people. Good self-management ability can help individuals to better adapt to the surrounding environment and cope with problems at work. How a person uses his professional knowledge and what attitude he takes in his work is even more important than his work content and ability.

In fact, in the opinions of employers on newly graduated college students, what they often hear is "lack of professionalism, no sense of service, low thinking, no serious and down-to-earth attitude, no initiative and enterprising spirit", and so on. This is due to the lack of self-management ability.

In the second classroom activities, we should cultivate students' mature, responsible and independent self-management ability, and use lectures, career planning competitions, simulated recruitment, interviews with professional figures, employment situation reports and professional quality development to cultivate students' much-needed self-management ability in employment psychology, professional ethics, professional attitude, professional ethics, professional etiquette, career planning and workplace adaptation.

3. Transportable skills

Transferable skills are also called functional skills. The students of management technology college should strengthen the cultivation of transferable skills in the second class and develop these skills in communication skills, problem-solving or critical thinking skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills.

Use painting and calligraphy competitions, speech competitions, speech and eloquence training, poetry recitation competitions, debate competitions, essay-writing activities, humanities lectures, famous forums, theme class meetings, and workplace relationship handling drills to cultivate students' transferable skills. The best way to participate in these activities is to give priority to student teams, which can increase students' communication ability.

Third, the second classroom activities should be carried out around the professional training plan.

The second class should focus on the teaching time and curriculum plan of the first class, and obtain the support and participation of professional teachers. Professional second-class activities should be included in the talent training plan.

Incorporate the "College Students' Reading Project" into the talent training plan, select well-known domestic and foreign economic, humanities, history, biographies and other bibliographies as the general bibliographies of management technology students to promote, consult reading notes and assess, cultivate students' interest in learning through reading, and enhance students' perception and understanding of life. The direction of life is naturally clear in the accumulation of reading. It is also necessary to carry out a series of theme reading activities among students, carry out book review writing, evaluate reading experience, compile excellent works into books and distribute them among students, and create a reading atmosphere in our college, and form a general atmosphere step by step.

On the other hand, teachers in various departments organize the selection and formulation of professional bibliographies, focusing on the direction of professional development, professionalism and professionalism.

The cultivation of professional quality and professional quality should carry out second-class activities such as lectures by famous teachers, lectures by professors, career development path prospects, professional salons, professional interest groups, interviews with corporate bosses, corporate visits, etc., fully rely on and make use of undergraduate education resources, and cultivate students' late-comer advantages in our college on the basis of basic links and theories.

Four, to carry out the second classroom activities should focus on campus fine cultural activities.

The second classroom activities should take colorful campus cultural activities as the carrier. Carry out various types of political and ideological education, knowledge exploration and other activities. Relying on major programs, ideological education activities such as "May 4th Youth Forum and Imagination" and "December 9th" Poetry Competition are held annually, and two large-scale cultural performances such as the welcome party and the New Year's party are held every year, as well as cultural and sports activities such as hosting competitions, talent competitions, various ball games, college football, basketball leagues, fun sports meetings, social practice and "going to the countryside" activities in winter and summer vacations, as well as dormitory culture festivals, class blog exhibitions and huge

The "Skills King" activity of the vocational skills competition will be turned into a school-level activity of Hubei University of Economics, which reflects the advantages of higher vocational colleges in vocational skills training and organization.

Create excellent campus activities, continue to make love auction and league school training into the brand of second classroom activities, enhance the ideological leading role of league school training, expand the popularity of management technology college and the enthusiasm of students to participate through excellent campus cultural activities, and become the window for management technology college to show to the outside world.

Five, to carry out the second classroom activities should focus on girls in our school.

There are 3,807 students in Management Technology College, including 2,495 girls, accounting for 66% of the total number of students. The advantage of the number of students determines that the second classroom activities in our college must be tilted towards girls.

The second classroom activities should be carried out according to the characteristics of female students in management technology college. A series of activities such as "Girls' Day" are held regularly every year, and dance competitions and cheerleading competitions are held. In view of the problems that female college students are generally concerned about, such as physical and mental health, interpersonal relationship and social interaction, love concept and behavior scale, women's psychological training and female etiquette lectures were held, and experts were invited to answer questions for the majority of female college students.

Through targeted activities, let girls establish a self-acceptance, self-adjustment psychological system and healthy and upward behavior, let girls in management technology college learn to speak, actively participate in collective activities, and learn to create a healthy competitive relationship.
