Interview Experience of Guan Peisheng in JD.COM (1)
I am a graduate student majoring in material processing and casting. My name is Jin Chao. The company that signed the contract is JD.COM, and the position is management trainee. In March, the recruitment scene of last autumn was still vivid and memorable. Although I am much worse than some big cows, I also hope to help my brothers and sisters by sharing my job hunting experience and experience.
Before writing this article, I had thought about using various logics to express my ideas clearly. Finally, I chose the chronological order. I think this simplest logic seems to be more helpful for you to understand what happened on the way to job hunting and the change of mentality.
The first stage: March-June "preparation period"
It can be said that the purpose of the first stage is to prepare for autumn recruitment.
During this period, many things can be done:
A. Pay attention to the development of various industries, especially the related fields that you want to engage in in in the future;
B. learn English and get a certificate with certain content. The improvement of English will not only make you feel comfortable in the later job search, but also make you more confident;
C. Applying for a summer internship can not only enrich your resume, but if it is a company you like, you may get a verbal offer. An adequate internship that you spend a lot of energy on may play a decisive role in your autumn job search;
D. If you don't successfully apply for an internship, then hard research is also a way you can choose to minimize the workload of scientific research during the job-hunting season.
There will be a lot of confusion at this stage:
What kind of work is suitable for? What kind of job has a bright future?
My works can be roughly divided into three categories: 1. Basically, I call them technical posts in material-related units and scientific research institutes. After all, this is our major, which has advantages compared with students of other majors, but just like materials are multidisciplinary, the advantages are not obvious; 2. Non-technical positions, such as sales, supply chain and product manager. , can open up the field of job hunting for us; 3. Civil servants and other institutions. I think what kind of work a person is suitable for can only be understood on the premise of fully understanding and evaluating himself. Rich knowledge of materials will make you feel comfortable in this industry, so if you have enough enthusiasm and ability, non-technical positions will be a piece of cake for you.
The second stage: August-165438+ 10 "attack period"
The so-called difficult period also means the beginning of the difficult job-hunting season.
Necessary preparations for August:
A. Resumes in Chinese and English (if you don't have a clear position on the job, then you need at least four resumes: resumes in Chinese and English for technical positions and non-technical positions), and the resumes should be constantly revised with the increase of job hunting experience;
B. A job application (excel will do, of course): used to record the company name you submitted, the position you applied for, the application time, and the application account number (company website, Zhaopin, 5 1job, etc.). ), evaluate whether it is completed, and arrange the follow-up interview. This can ensure that when a large number of units flood into the school in the later period, you can still check the progress of job hunting in an orderly way and be aware of it;
C. If you like fast-moving enterprises such as Procter & Gamble, Unilever, and Mars Wrigley, it is also necessary to prepare for English online application and op in advance, which will greatly reduce the workload of online application of foreign companies. These foreign companies' op and online application templates are generally available in the corresponding sections of BBS. It is suggested that English op should also be carefully and neatly recorded on the an application for a job, which will play a role in the interview;
D. Make the work you have done during your college and graduate studies into an unformatted electronic word, which is convenient for a large number of repeated online applications. Including: scientific research projects (name, project introduction and work undertaken), work of societies and student unions (time, positions held, activities organized, exercise ability, etc.). ), internship (name, time of internship unit, specific content of work).
Matters needing attention in September, 10, 1 1:
A. Pay attention to the school employment network at any time, and complete the online application for enterprises next week this week;
B. Arrange the investigation time reasonably, preferably when the network is good;
C take every interview seriously, and at least know the background, culture and position of the enterprise before the interview.
This stage is the most difficult:
I remember this time last year, I generally experienced several bottlenecks: 1. There is no way to start online application; 2. At the beginning of September, I submitted a number of resumes, and no company responded; 3. Some companies began to pay attention to me, and the number of interviews began to increase, but the proportion of offer was pitiful; 4. Nearly 10 months, I have begun to enter the job-hunting fatigue period. I don't want to apply online, even the interview begins to contradict, and I feel that the harvest is far less than the pay.
In retrospect, these are normal stages. First of all, make the necessary preparations for the above-mentioned August, and the problem that online application cannot be started will be solved. Then, because most of the earliest companies in the job-hunting season are highly professional Internet companies, it is normal for students like us who don't have much professional knowledge not to get too many opportunities in early September. Finally, we should always keep a good attitude in the process of job hunting. After all, we are students of Jiao Tong University. With careful preparation, the offer will appear sooner or later, just when we get it. (Interview Network www.pincai.com)
The third stage: the following year 12- 1 "happy period".
At this stage, it is important to compare the quotations in hand and choose the one that suits you best.
Because most students will start an offer around June 5438+065438+ 10, the pressure on everyone at this stage is relatively small. Most of the companies interviewed at this stage are foreign companies with long recruitment cycle or some good state-owned enterprises. You will have many opportunities to attend interviews with executives at the company headquarters, feel the atmosphere of the company for yourself, and feel quite happy while broadening your horizons. But in the end, it is not a simple matter to choose a company that you like and suit your own development.
Finally, I want to give my brothers and sisters a brief talk about the interview experience:
Because I have basically decided to choose a non-technical position as my job-hunting goal in the early stage of job hunting, it is doomed that most interviews will not encounter problems related to this major. Therefore, from a material point of view, I can fully demonstrate my abilities beyond my professional knowledge. On the other hand, from the perspective of a non-material major HR, I can easily show my qualities as a material learning student. I think this is our advantage.
The form and process of the interview are basically the same. It can be roughly divided into three categories: 1. Unilateral (one student to one interviewer or one student to multiple interviewers); 2. Structured interview (each student introduces himself in turn and answers questions in turn); 3. There is no leading group discussion, so-called group discussion.
I pay more attention to three points in the interview:
A. take every interview seriously. You know, no number of interviews you watch are as good as a real battle. Therefore, in the early stage of job hunting, you can still try to train some companies that give interviews but don't want to go (although it is a bit demoralizing);
B. When interviewing, try to make the interviewer remember you. There are many ways, and I usually label myself to achieve my goal. For example, when interviewing a unit, most of the students in the same group come from liberal arts majors such as management, and I will highlight the advantages of my science students. For another example, when answering the interviewer's question about "how to look at the work of the club and the student union", most students will mention that they have exercised their organizational and coordination skills. I discuss it from the point of view that the nature of the work of associations and student unions is to serve students;
C. keep a normal heart. Especially in group meetings, you can choose to be a leader or a timekeeper. Even ordinary members, in short, it is good to have their own contributions. When you meet a "domineering" classmate, just calmly highlight your own advantages, and there is no need to argue with them. Often, the process of thinking and discussing problems in a group can impress HR more than whose view is "correct".
The above are some of my experiences and ideas in the process of job hunting, hoping to help my brothers and sisters. There are also many one-sided views and personal words. Please forgive me if there is anything wrong!
Finally, I wish all the students can find their ideal jobs and have a bright future!
Interview Experience of Guan Peisheng in JD.COM (2)
I hesitated for a long time whether to write something. It's a pity that I didn't enter JD.COM in the end, but I'm very grateful to the children's shoes that I shared generously, so in order to learn to repay and share, I decided to talk about my experience.
1. Online application: Considering that I want to start a business in the future and I am optimistic about the development potential of e-commerce, I made an online application in JD.COM very early.
There seems to be no exact deadline for online application in JD.COM this year, so many students missed the opportunity. I suggest you apply online as soon as possible in the future, and don't miss the opportunity because of your laziness or negligence.
Second, the statement+written test
JD。 The written test of COM will be conducted after the demonstration. The written test topic is: line test+English+professional knowledge (about logistics, it's quite simple, most of it is common sense). There are many questions, but it is no problem to do them quickly.
PS: This year's presentation of Sichuan University was really hot. Mr. Liu should be very happy to see it. Hehe ~ ~ I went to another company for an interview during the day, and it was after 7 o'clock. Arriving at Sichuan University, the first written test has already started. When the second written test started at 9: 00, I finished writing 10. I am very tired, but I am looking for a job. It doesn't matter even if I am tired.
Third, one side: 10 group, each person introduces himself for 5 minutes.
HR requires that you don't need to introduce scholarships, but mainly illustrate your abilities through examples.
Personal experience: the content of self-introduction should be as simple as possible (not short), and it is best to have specific examples to prove your ability. What matters is what you do, pay attention to language logic; In addition, I think the speed of speech, intonation and eye contact are also very important when introducing myself.
At that time, the children's shoes in our group were excellent, needless to say, they all worked in schools and had rich social experience. If you can't introduce yourself in front of these awesome people, then ..................................................................................................................... (in fact, I just want to make it clear to everyone, which I personally think is very important. )
IV. Both sides: Group discussion
A group 10 people, there are too many experiences about group discussion in various forums. JD.COM still attaches great importance to leadership and teamwork.
Five, the end face:
The last interviewers are all VP. At that time, there were three interviewers in our group (Liu Jingli, not Lao Liu, Lao Liu would not come for an interview; Guan zong; General Zhang).
The final form: self-introduction, each interviewer asks questions. Looking at previous years' face books, I said it took three minutes to introduce myself. Originally prepared for three minutes, this year is 1 minute. I suggest you pay attention to improvisation
Personally, I feel that there is still pressure on the end face, but it is not very heavy, mainly depending on my mentality. There will be all kinds of problems, and the most impressive thing is that you must prepare examples to illustrate your abilities. At that time, I said in my self-introduction that I felt I dared to do and challenge, so the interviewer asked me to give an example, hehe ~ fortunately, I was prepared.
In the interview, JD.COM will examine whether you have many personal relationships, such as family, boyfriend and girlfriend. They should expect candidates to accept job rotation across the country.
For my own face, in fact, I am very dissatisfied with my performance:
1, self-introduction failed. In order to avoid the repetition of self-introduction, I prepared a new version, which proved to be very ineffective. In fact, one side is different from the last interviewer, even if the self-introduction before and after is the same, it doesn't matter. This version of self-introduction failed because I didn't guide the interviewer's questions. Among the questions the interviewer asked me, only one related to my self-introduction, that is, "Dare to think and do, dare to challenge" mentioned above.
I suggest that when preparing for self-introduction, you can consider guiding the interviewer's questions (introducing the company, the interviewer values ability) and preparing corresponding answers (preferably examples)
Improvisation may be overwhelmed by the pressure at that time. Maybe I can't handle it myself. I don't know.
The interviewer asked me if I had done anything different from other students when preparing for the interview. I didn't even think about what I did.
Understand e-commerce; Know JD. COM's corporate culture, development and JD.COM. COM's competitors; Watching Lao Liu's interview and so on are all routine preparations;
However, since I haven't bought anything on JD.COM before, in order to experience the customer experience and logistics in JD.COM and compare it with competitors' Excellence, I specially placed an order in JD.COM and Excellence at the same time. In this process, I experienced the rapid logistics in JD.COM, but there were some shortcomings in the shopping process, and I also found some problems in JD.COM. The information system of COM revised the order (after I cancelled the order, I refreshed the website several times, and the order still existed, but after logging in again the next day, the order was cancelled smoothly. When signing for the goods, we found that our competitors did better than JD.COM. The courier will ask you if you need to inspect the goods before signing, but JD.COM won't. I think this should be regarded as a special preparation method, but unfortunately I didn't seize the opportunity to present it to the interviewer.
Hehe ~ ~ But water under the bridge. All I can do is sum up my experience.
Finally, I wish Guan Peisheng a bright future and JD.COM a better and better development!
