CMMI is supervised and managed by American SEI Association. At present, the chief appraiser who has been trained by SEI and approved for filing can issue the certificate himself, and the appraiser himself will be responsible for life, provided that the appraisal process, appraisal materials and appraisal sponsors are approved by SEI, and any problems found afterwards will be directly responsible by the chief appraiser.
