East China Institute of Technology School History Museum (nuclear army cultural heritage base) has an exhibition area of 1380m2, which is divided into five exhibition areas: preface, start-up, rise, progress and inheritance. The museum comprehensively records the development course, important events, important figures and important achievements of the school since its establishment.
Donghua Institute of Technology (formerly East China Institute of Geology), referred to as Donghua Institute of Technology, was founded in 1956. It is the first institution of higher learning in China's nuclear industry. It is a multi-disciplinary university that focuses on science and engineering and has the characteristics of economics, management, literature, law, teaching, art and other disciplines.
It is a pilot university of the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", a university selected by the Ministry of Education's "1Plan", a university supported by the "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities", a research and practice project of "New Engineering", a research and reform practice project of "New Liberal Arts", a national national defense education characteristic school, a national language and writing promotion base, and a selection and training base for non-commissioned officers of the Chinese People's Navy.
The school has always adhered to the purpose of putting national interests first and national interests first, keeping in mind the historical mission of serving the national defense industry, adhering to the development idea of "building, making a name for and developing the nuclear industry", holding high the two flags of "nuclear science" and "geoscience", speeding up the connotation development, strengthening the discipline characteristics, and constantly improving the core competitiveness, which has made important contributions to the establishment of China's nuclear power status, the development of national defense science and technology industry and local economic construction.
Known as "the cradle of China's nuclear geoscience talents" and "the precious wealth of the world's atomic energy industry", it has sent more than 240,000 professionals at all levels for the national defense industry and the economic and social development of Jiangxi Province, including academicians of China Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering, and a large number of government department leaders, business elites, leading talents in science and technology and senior technical experts.
The school has two campuses, Nanchang and Fuzhou, with a total campus area of more than 2,500 mu. There are Earth Science College, Geophysics and Measurement and Control Technology College, Water Resources and Environmental Engineering College, Surveying and Mapping Engineering College, Chemical Biology and Materials Science College, Nuclear Science and Engineering College, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering College, Information Engineering College, Science College, Civil and Architectural Engineering College, Software College, school of economics and management, Grammar College, Foreign Languages College and Fuzhou Normal College.
At present, there are more than 20 teaching units, including Marxism College, Physical Education College, Art College, Graduate School, National Defense Education College, National Defense Science and Technology College (Nuclear Energy College), Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education College (Artificial Intelligence College), International Education College, Higher Vocational and Technical College and Continuing Education College.
