1937 graduated from Peking University.

From 65438 to 0938, he joined the All-China Anti-Japanese Federation of Literary and Art Circles and served as a political instructor in the anti-Japanese young officers training class of Li Jue Army. Later, he served as the editor-in-chief of the Pearl Supplement of Chongqing World Journal, and began to translate poems (MacKay's poems, Whitman's poems) from then on.
