The practical examination is divided into two parts: watching and listening.
There are generally several kinds of stenographer's certificates:
(1) issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of China (responsible for the evaluation centers of local labor bureaus):
Primary (quick recording) 140 words/minute;
Intermediate (stenographer) 180/ min;
Senior (senior stenographer) 220 words/minute.
(2) Certificate of Beijing Shorthand Association:
Primary: the correct rate is not less than 95%, and the input speed reaches 50- 139 words/minute;
Intermediate: the correct rate is not less than 95%, and the input speed reaches 140- 179 words/minute;
Advanced: the correct rate is not less than 95%, and the input speed is above 180 words/minute.
(3) Certificate of Shorthand Professional Committee of China Chinese Information Society, with the same level as above.
