Fully enclosed English, as its name implies, is to learn English completely, so as to stay away from family, busy streets, neon lights, close and quiet study. Students get up at seven o'clock every morning, practice correcting pronunciation every day, attend classes all day and study in the classroom at night. Some of them studied until late at night 12 o'clock, and all the time was used up. Many students said with emotion that they had never done this before. Four months is more practical than four years to learn English (of course, this does not mean undergraduate foreign language colleges). Guangzhou Oriental English College has done closed English training for 16 years, and trained tens of thousands of successful people, senior white-collar workers, individual businessmen and international students.
There is no such practice and requirement in ordinary advanced classes. Generally, there are large classes (30-50 students in each class). They don't live in school, they don't study early, they don't study at night, and they don't attend classes every day. Even if they have classes, they are not satisfied. Even if I live on campus, I live in scattered places. No one wakes you up, no one cares about your sleep, no one knows that men and women live together. It is "free" and "comfortable".
Here is an example for your reference. For example, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, undergraduate students should be said to be good and well managed, but advanced students are quite another matter. I have been teaching English in Guangdong for nearly 20 years. Generally, there are 30-40 advanced students in a class, more than 50. Students' level is uneven and it is difficult to teach. The attendance rate of students is quite high in the first few days of school, but in less than two weeks, some students will stop attending classes one after another. A month later, in a class of dozens of students, less than half of the students will go to class. Of course, these hard-working parents will not know that there are very few students in such a big school. I will be very disappointed if I see my children being let go!
