Introduction to Russian Department of Shanghai International Studies University
Russian Department of Shanghai International Studies University, formerly known as Shanghai Russian School, was founded in 1949. 1956, with the approval of the State Council, the school was officially renamed as Shanghai International Studies University, and then the Russian Department was formally established. At present, Russian language and literature of Russian family is the key subject of the Ministry of Education and Shanghai, and occupies an important position in Shanghai International Studies University and similar subjects in China. Russian Language Department has two majors: Russian Language and Literature and Ukrainian Language and Literature.
