1. Shandong University has a long history of continuing education and is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning engaged in adult higher education, online higher education and non-academic continuing education in China.

In the course of nearly 60 years' development, the School of Continuing Education of Shandong University has always regarded continuing education as an important content of talent training and serving the society. In recent years, the school's continuing education has made unremitting structural adjustment and transformation and upgrading, actively developed academic education and vigorously developed non-academic education, and has made remarkable achievements in personnel training and social services.

Construction and characteristics of Shandong University College of Continuing Education;

1. The school has 67 online education majors and 26 adult education majors. There are 18 examiners as examiners of Shandong higher education self-study exam. There are more than 60 online education learning centers and 6 adult education correspondence stations/kloc-0.

2. Schools are located in 23 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions), and a nationwide continuing education network has been established. The school is an education and training base approved by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Civil Affairs, China Food and Drug Administration, state administration of work safety and other national ministries and commissions.

3. The school has successively established eight national-level continuing education bases, including "National Training Base for Grassroots Cultural Team", "National Training Base for Teachers' Information Technology" and "National Training Base for Social Workers".
