Soft clay is a new type of kneading plastic material, which was introduced to Beijing from Taiwan Province Province in 1997. Now it has been promoted by more than 100 wholesalers all over the country, setting off a craze for making soft clay.

"Soft clay" is the name when it was introduced from Taiwan Province Province, and it is called "resin clay" in Japan. People in China also call it "low temperature clay" and "polymer clay" because it only takes 130 degrees and 10- 15 minutes to finish the work by soft heating. Later, FIMO (Saimo) "soft pottery" made in Germany was introduced, and later "magic clay" made in China appeared, but they were all called "domestic soft pottery". Nowadays, everyone affectionately calls it "soft pottery".

Soft pottery has strong plasticity and bright colors. There are 40 colors of soft pottery produced in Taiwan Province Province, and more than 50 colors produced in Germany, including fluorescent, marble and luminous varieties, while domestic soft pottery has only 18 colors. The development department of Hong Zhong Practical Art Service Center is continuing to develop other varieties, which will be put into production soon.
