20 14 Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the school to add the brand of Luzhou Technician College. The school, formerly known as South Sichuan Jingwei School, was founded in 190 1, which is the first "new school" in Sichuan. The first president was Zhao Xi, editor-in-chief of the National History Museum of the Imperial Academy in Qing Dynasty and the first poet in the late Qing Dynasty.
