The school is committed to exploring the running mode and talent training mode of higher vocational and technical education with China characteristics. 1April, 1996, the school was designated as a national pilot institution for higher vocational education reform; 200 1, the school became a national model vocational and technical college, and was the first to pass the excellent evaluation of the national model practice teaching base. 200 1 "exploration and practice of talent training mode in higher vocational and technical education" won the first prize of the fourth national teaching achievement. In 2005, the school's "theoretical research and practical exploration on the construction of practical teaching system and practical teaching base in higher vocational colleges" won the first prize of the fifth national teaching achievement again. In June 2003, the school became a national key construction vocational and technical college. In September, 2003, the Ministry of Education organized the first talent training level evaluation of higher vocational colleges in China, and all the evaluation indicators of our school 15 were "excellent", making it the only university in China that won all honors. The school has 1 162 teachers and 975 full-time teachers, including 394 teachers with senior titles, 52 teachers with full titles and 84 doctors. There are 686 professional teachers, including 494 double-qualified teachers.
At present, there are full-time students 19978 and nearly 3000 part-time adult students. They have been training and researching skills for many years to provide continuing education services for migrant workers. Since it was founded 13 years ago, the school has trained 19635 qualified graduates for the society. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has remained above 95%. More than 95% of graduates have obtained at least one skill certificate. The school has 53 teachers and students who have obtained the top CCIE certificate in the world Internet industry, and the results are extremely rare in universities across the country.

The school has a continuing education college and a training college, which are responsible for adult education, teacher training, joint running of schools and various vocational training, skill appraisal and qualification certification at home and abroad. Adult education includes full-time, evening university, correspondence, modern distance education and other forms of academic education and non-academic education, and there are more than 40 schools. The training college is a training base for high-skilled talents of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, a training base for high-skilled talents of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Labor and Social Security, a training base for teachers of higher vocational education of the Ministry of Education, and a re-employment training base in Shenzhen. Shenzhen Polytechnic Vocational Training Center and Shenzhen No.7 Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute are comprehensive vocational education institutions, which have introduced 29 vocational qualification certificates/kloc-0 at home and abroad, including 56 national authority certificates. This school attaches importance to scientific research. At present, there are 6 national natural science foundation projects, and the ranking of Guangdong universities during the tenth five-year plan period is 15. As of September 2006, the school has established 233 national, provincial and municipal natural science research projects and 173 social science research projects. The school pays attention to foreign exchanges and cooperation to enhance the level of internationalization. At present, it has established cooperative relations with nearly 43 universities in Britain, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Hongkong and Taiwan Province, and formed sister schools with Taiwan Province 1 1 Technical and Vocational University. Taught seven foreign languages. Since 1998, it has received nearly 2,000 batches of visiting colleagues, experts and leaders at home and abroad, and received more than 30,000 guests.
