In April, 2000, Sichuan Ya 'an Archives School and Sichuan Agricultural University, a national "2 1 1" project under construction, jointly established a branch directly under the Adult Education College of Sichuan Agricultural University, and implemented the "2+2" school-running mode (junior high school graduates entered school for two years of systematic study in technical secondary schools and two years of specialist study, and obtained junior college education). In March 2003, the school obtained the qualification of running a five-year higher vocational education, which improved the level of running a school.

The school is flexible in form and diverse in levels. At present, there are mainly: general secondary vocational and technical education (secretarial and archival, computer and application, art design, human resource management and other eight majors); Higher vocational and technical education (five-year college, with four majors: secretary and archives, economic information management and computer application, human resource management affairs, tourism service and management); Adult education, online education (jointly organized with Sichuan Agricultural University) and on-the-job training for archivists. The major of secretarial and archival is the key major of the school, and the main courses are the same as those of the civil service examination.
