Acupuncture and moxibustion for myopia
Chinese medicine believes that the occurrence of myopia is not only related to local refractive errors and other factors, but also related to physical fitness. Although TCM is not well-known in treating myopia, it has its own views and achievements. Here are some Chinese acupuncture methods about myopia that I have compiled for you, hoping to help you.

Acupuncture methods of traditional Chinese medicine for myopia

1. Acupuncture therapy

Acupoints: Chengqi, Smart, Fengchi, Mingming, Hegu and Zusanli.

Acupuncture method: The above prescriptions can be divided into two groups, which are selected alternately. The acupoints in the eye area should be twisted gently and pushed slowly. When the needle is pulled out, it will appear under the skin, and then press the cotton ball for one minute. Hegu, Zusanli, Fengchi and Tian Ming points can be twisted or inserted, and needles can be transported intermittently. Leave the needle for 20 ~ 30 minutes. Among them, the acupuncture sensation at Fengchi point and Mingming point must spread to the temple, forehead or eye area.

2. fixed-point therapy

Acupoint selection: point 2, 3, Hotspot and Erming.

Operation method: the operator aims at the above-mentioned acupoints with his thumb or fingertip, presses them for 3-5 times, then gently rotates them counterclockwise for 50- 100 times, and then presses them clockwise for 50- 100 times.

Step 3 burr

Acupoints: Meridian points and air pockets. Spare points are Fengchi, Neiguan, Dazhui, smart and gas-bearing.

Operation method: pat each point for about 5 minutes, every day or every other day 1 time, 10 ~ 15 times as a course of treatment. The treatment interval is about half a month, and when the effect is not obvious, choose the spare points.

Precautions: Myopia patients should consult relevant doctors first if they want to carry out the above acupuncture treatment, and should not operate alone to avoid adverse reactions.

3. Use the middle finger of both hands to focus on Jingming point, which is about 2~3 mm away from the inner corner of the child's eye, and press 1~2 minutes until you feel sore; Press 1~2 minutes respectively at Tianying point under the eyebrows of children until they feel sore.

Signs of myopia

Some senior pupils or middle school students read books for a long time, and their handwriting will overlap and connect. When they look up at the objects in front of them, they will feel detached and unstable. Some people move their eyes to nearby objects after looking far for a long time, or move to distant objects after looking near for a long time, and there will be a brief blur in front of them. These are all manifestations of eye ciliary muscle regulation failure, which is caused by eye fatigue and is likely to be a precursor of myopia symptoms.

In addition, some children will suffer from meibomian gland cyst, stye or blepharitis repeatedly. Although the eyesight of these children can reach 1.0 or above, it is already? Play? A prelude to myopia.

At the same time of eye fatigue, many people are accompanied by burning, itching, dryness and swelling of their eyes. In severe cases, the pain spreads to the deep part of the orbit, even causing migraine, and also causing pain in the pillow, neck, shoulders and back. This is caused by sensory nerve fatigue and allergy of the eyes, and it is also one of the symptoms of myopia.
