1. All English major graduates from various universities (including self-taught examinations) with nationally recognized academic qualifications can directly take the undergraduate examination; Non-English major graduates and above must take three additional courses: Comprehensive English (II) (00795), Listening (00593) and Spoken English (00594) before they can apply for this major.
2. Those who have obtained the Shanghai Foreign Language Interpretation Certificate (Advanced English) jointly issued by the Shanghai Foreign Language Interpretation Certificate Examination Committee and the Pudong Continuing Education Center of Shanghai University may be exempted from the two courses of Interpretation and Listening (Interpretation Part) and Interpretation and Listening (Listening Part).
3. After the candidates have finished all the courses, they need to write a graduation thesis and pass the thesis defense.
