The examination time of CCNA is chosen by the candidates at the time of registration. As long as the business hours of the local test center allow, you can sign up for the exam at any time, usually two or three days after signing up the day before! The validity period of CCNA certification is three years. Re-certification: During the validity period of CCNA, you can take the test with the code starting with 642 (CCNP's test starts with 642), and the validity period can be automatically refreshed, subject to the new test date. However, if the validity period of CCNA has passed, you must take the CCNA exam again.

CCNA certification validity period

CCNA certification is valid for 3 years. After 3 years, you need to take the recertification exam. If you have obtained a higher level of cisco certified in these three years, the validity period of CCNA certification will be automatically updated. After the CCNA recertification exam expires, you must take the exam of 640-822 ICND, or take the exam of any subject of CCNP, CCDP, CCIP and CCSP, or take the exam of any subject with the prefix of 642-XXX in Cisco Qualified College. If you need to re-certify, you must pass the existing CCNA exam, or ICND exam, or pass any 642 professional level or Cisco qualified expert exam (excluding the sales expert exam), or pass the existing CCIE written test.
