The latest national policy on training institutions
In recent years, the government of China has strengthened the supervision and management of training institutions, and introduced many new policies, including limiting the scale, content and fees of off-campus training institutions, aiming at promoting educational equity and preventing excessive competition.

In recent years, with the rapid development of off-campus training institutions, the problems caused by them have become increasingly prominent, such as excessive competition, consumption trap, uneven quality of teachers and so on. To this end, the China Municipal Government has strengthened the supervision and management of training institutions and introduced a number of new policies. Among them, the most representative is the Opinions issued on 202 1, which mainly puts forward a series of restrictive measures around two aspects: "reducing the extracurricular burden of primary and secondary school students" and "standardizing the market order of off-campus training". These measures include, but are not limited to, strictly limiting the scale, charging standards and content setting of off-campus training institutions, and gradually realizing the integration inside and outside the school. In addition, the government has strengthened the supervision of training institutions, and set up special institutions to conduct a comprehensive review and supervision of training institutions, focusing on teaching quality, teaching staff, curriculum and charging standards.

What impact does the new policy of training institutions have on students and parents? The impact of the new policy on students and parents is mainly in two aspects. On the one hand, the introduction of the policy means that off-campus training institutions will be subject to stricter supervision, and their scale, content and fees will be limited, which can curb some bad training institutions and thus reduce the extracurricular burden of parents and students. On the other hand, the implementation of the policy will also increase the operating costs of some legal training institutions, which may lead to some institutions being forced to raise prices or close down.

The introduction of the new policy of training institutions is helpful to promote educational equity, curb excessive competition and consumption traps, and is of positive significance to ensuring the healthy growth of students and improving the quality of education. But at the same time, the government also needs to pay attention to the implementation effect and social impact of the policy to ensure the scientific and feasible policy formulation and implementation.
