Ditan Gymnasium is located in the north of ditan park West Gate, Andingmenwai Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing. It is one of the 33 stadiums built for the 1 1 Asian Games, with an area of 1 1400 square meters and a building area of 13600 square meters.

The venue covers an area of 44M×24M, with a clear height of 19.5M, 2 fixed seats199 and 4 seats in front of the podium. The training hall covers an area of 32M× 18M.

Ditan Gymnasium has hosted the weightlifting competition of the1/the 1st Asian Games, the Asian Youth Handball Championship, the International Billiards Classic and other major international competitions, and received 200,000 visitors every year. After the overall transformation, it was officially opened to the public in the Spring Festival of 2002.
