Regulations on Biosafety Management of Pathogenic Microorganism Laboratories
Twenty-first primary and secondary laboratories shall not engage in experimental activities of highly pathogenic microorganisms. Class III and Class IV laboratories engaged in experimental activities of highly pathogenic microorganisms shall meet the following conditions: (1) The purpose of the experiment and the experimental activities to be engaged in shall comply with the provisions of the competent health department or veterinary department of the State Council; (2) Having passed the national accreditation of laboratories; (3) Having staff suitable for experimental activities; (four) the quality of the project is qualified by the competent department of construction according to law.
Twenty-fifth new construction, renovation or expansion of first-class and second-class laboratories shall be filed with the competent health department or veterinary department of the municipal people's government with districts. The competent health department or veterinary department of the municipal people's government with districts shall summarize the filing situation every year and report it to the competent health department or veterinary department of the people's government of the province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government.
