Beijing Foreign Studies University is one of the "2 1 1 Project" key universities directly under the Ministry of Education. It is a foreign language university with the longest history, the largest number of teaching languages and complete school-running level in China. It is an important base for the teaching and research of foreign languages, literature and international issues in China, the main training base for all kinds of foreign language talents, especially senior translators, and the largest base for foreign language books, audio-visual and electronic products in China. Its predecessor was 194 1 Yan 'an Foreign Language School founded on the basis of Russian Brigade of Kangsan Branch.

The school has eight colleges: English College, International Business School, International Exchange College, Russian College, Advanced Translation College, Continuing Education College, Network College and Training College, and seven departments: German, French, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, European and Asian-African. The school teaches 34 languages, which is the largest foreign language university in China. Four. Registration and recommendation

1, our school issued recommended places to relevant middle schools, and sent out enrollment brochures and candidates' registration forms.

2. Middle schools should strictly follow the recommended places, enrollment majors and the ratio of male to female students issued by our school, and recommend them on the basis of candidates' voluntary registration.

3. Candidates are advised to fill in the candidate registration form provided by our school as required. One-inch recent bareheaded photos of candidates must be posted, and the middle school seal should be affixed to the photos.

4. In addition, prepare a photo of 1 Zhang Yicun (with middle school, name and gender written on the back of the photo) on the same back as the photo posted in the candidate's registration form for making the admission ticket. A: 1989 With the approval of the Student Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education, some non-common languages (also known as minority languages) in our school are enrolled separately in advance. Non-common languages enrolled separately in advance are: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Ukrainian, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Serbian-Croatian, Albanian, Finnish, Dutch, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Korean and Indonesian.

A: Students majoring in minority languages must learn a second foreign language (English) in addition to learning the first foreign language well and reaching the undergraduate graduation level. The school requires students to pass CET-4 in the second foreign language, and students with ability can take CET-6. At the same time, in order to broaden students' knowledge, foreign affairs, economy and trade, news and other courses and teaching contents have been added in various languages since the third grade, and the school has also opened nearly 20 courses with professional orientation for students to choose from. Since 1999, our school has added three minor majors: English, International Trade and Diplomacy. Students with learning ability can sign up for study, and those who pass the exam will be issued with a minor certificate. A few outstanding students can also take part in the double-degree study of English, international trade, diplomacy and other majors after obtaining the minor certificate, complete the credits stipulated in the teaching plan, and obtain the double-degree certificate issued by our school when they graduate through their dissertations. With a history of more than 60 years, it is the foreign language university with the longest running history, the largest scale and the most languages in China.
