After watching the video above, let's learn about sand painting!

China sand painting

There are many sand painting manufacturers in Chinese mainland, most of which are small manual workshops, using different technologies and raw materials. Most manufacturers use alumina wire, copper-plated wire or galvanized nickel wire as raw materials. Because its color is golden yellow, it is called gold silk. In addition to gold wire, sand mining is also a necessary raw material.

Although all sand paintings in China claim to be made of natural colored sand, there are few such paintings. There are two main reasons: first, natural colored sandstone is relatively rare in nature and difficult to obtain. Even if it is obtained, it is incomplete and cannot meet the rich colors needed for artistic painting. Second, compared with dyed sand, the color of real natural colored sand is slightly dim, and the painting effect is not as good as glazed surface. Therefore, most of the colored sand paintings on the market are made of dyed sand.

From the appearance of products, sand paintings are mainly divided into two categories. One is that the picture is encapsulated with glass resin, which is characterized by easy transportation, but the workmanship is mostly rough. The other one can directly see the sand grains without sealing the painting with resin. It is characterized by bright colors and strong three-dimensional sense, but it is occasionally damaged during long-distance freight transportation.
