Sanmenxia Radio and TV University was founded in 1979. On 1999, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to merge with the former Yuxi Teachers College to form Sanmenxia Vocational and Technical College, and it implemented a school-running system with complementary resource advantages (please click the link for geographical location, teaching staff and school-running conditions). The internal organization consists of two departments: the educational administration department and the enrollment and training department. Sanmenxia Radio and TV University has four county-level branches, such as Mianchi Branch, Lushi Branch, Lingbao Branch and Shanxian Branch, and two learning centers, namely, urban continuing education and computer school. It is a multi-disciplinary and multi-level institution of higher learning with advanced teaching methods, strong teachers, superior school conditions, elegant learning environment and flexible learning forms.
